Crawford Smith & Swallow is currently looking for an experienced full-time Accountant for our Niagara Region Offices. You will be challenged with increasingly important accounting and audit roles for our clients. You will be challenged with recognizing, analyzing and understanding our client’s business and their needs, as well as helping to train and develop junior staff. As a Senior Accountant or Account Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Plan and lead teams including but not limited to audit teams, meetings, and client engagements
- Plan fieldwork assignments including budget and resource needs
- Accurately perform audit procedures
- Efficiently and accurately oversee, sign off and present findings on audits
- Leverage strong computer skills in Word, Excel, CaseWare, CaseView and TaxPrep
- Prepare notice to readers, assurance engagements, personal and corporate tax returns, HST returns, T4’s, T5’s, T3 returns and bookkeeping
- Proactively market and attract new clients to the Firm
- Actively participate in the training and mentorship of junior team members
- Clearly communicate both verbally and in writing with clients and team members
- Think strategically, thrive in a dynamic client-focused culture, and create a strong team environment with a sense of excellence
- Maintain a high standard of ethics, professionalism, confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to portray the Firm in a positive manner
- Complete all other tasks as required by the Office Managing Partner

The successful candidate will have:
- CPA Designation
- One to six years post designation experience
